Juan Callejas

Born in Colombia in 1999, and moved to Canada in 2009.

My name is Juan Callejas, but my full name is Juan Sebastian Callejas Rodriguez. I was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1999, and grew up with primarily with my mother, while also maintaining a close relationship with my father. My mom and I moved to Canada in 2009, and soon after she re-married. That is when I developed an interest in Blender, as well as the concept of 3D creation.

 

Although I am young, I have a passionate enthusiasm for design and computer generated art, and am working to develop that skill. I started learning Blender in 2010 and to this day I still learning new techniques and discovering new features. I decided to make this website to keep a neat portfolio of all my work in the area of CG art.

 

More recently, I have been learning to use the Unity 3D game engine. I started learning C# and some model optimization techniques to increase performance. Meanwhile I have met some people who are also interested in making games, but specialize in the design area, so I have decided to become HalfCloud Interactive's head developer and 3D designer. We are working on a 2D shoot-'em-up styled game by the name of "Space Fighter" which can be tested in the 2D sub-section of the Unity page of this website.

 

There are also future plans for a more elaborate 3D racing game called "Poly Racers", which will have a low-poly style. Development will start soon after the official release of Space Fighter, as the latter title's main purpose is a fundraiser for some important game asset to aid the process of making and improving the quality of Poly Racers' final result.
